Age Restricted Policy

Healys is a responsible seller of bladed and other age restricted item. For years we have verified the ages of customers purchasing any age restricted items.

Below is the process we use to verify the age of a buyer of an age restricted item.

1. We use the Shopify trusted app AVP, fully compliant with regulatory and industry standards (e.g. GDPR, AVPA, BSI’s PAS 1296). The check is completed using a variety of data sources like the UK electoral roll, credit card data, mobile network search and driver's licence.

2. Upon entering our website you should have been greeted with a 18+ verification pop up, upon selecting 'Yes I am 18+' you will gain access to our website simultaneously AVP will proceed to check your age using the above methods and verify it to us. Upon selecting 'No I am not 18+' you will be redirected away from our website. If for any reason AVP cannot verify your age then checkout will not be possible.

If you feel AVP have incorrectly identified you and you are in fact 18+ then we will be more than happy to verify the customers age manually, asking to see proof of either driving license or passport which will be kept in our records, please contact us for this service.

PLEASE NOTE: All orders have to match the information on the ID provided. e.g. name and address used at checkout must match name and address on driving license or passport. If information does NOT match, Healys has every right to cancel the order with no prior notice.

3. Every parcel that contains an age restricted item will be marked for delivery to a person 18+ only. The person accepting the item will need to show proof of age to the courier before item can be handed over.
